Dr. William “Bill” Motley DDS

Dr. William “Bill” Motley was born and raised in Miami, Florida. As a young orthodontic patient, he decided to pursue a career in orthodontics. After graduating from Miami High with Honors, he was awarded a full scholarship to Emory College in Atlanta. After two-years of college he was accepted at Emory University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation with a DDS degree he was commissioned as a Captain in the Army Dental Corps and served in Germany for three years. The next two years involved his post graduate training in orthodontics at Emory to become a board qualified specialist.

Dr. Motley practiced orthodontics in Coral Gables, FL, for many years during which time he lectured to local dental societies, and served as president of the South Florida Academy of Orthodontics.

Dr. Motley has 35 years of experience in private practice treating every conceivable orthodontic problem. He is an active member of the Georgia Association of Orthodontics, and the American Dental Association.

“Bill” and Marilyn, his wife of forty-one years, have three grown children and six grandchildren. He enjoys playing bass guitar at church in a contemporary praise band, tennis, fishing, and running. He recently ran the ING half marathon and is planning to run a full marathon in the near future. Dr. Motley is looking forward to continuing his career as a member of the team at Family Orthodontics of Woodstock and Austell.
